Pest Proofing

Practical exclusion work designed to reduce accessible pest ingress points and support longer-term control.

Long-Term Prevention

Rodent control is stronger when the entry route is addressed.

Mice and rats can exploit surprisingly small openings around services, structural junctions and building voids. Our proofing work focuses on accessible potential ingress points identified during inspection.

Wall-to-floor junctions
Service penetrations and pipework gaps
Boiler cupboards and utility voids
Airbricks and ventilation openings
Door gaps and brush-strip installation
Kitchen and cupboard penetrations

Materials and methods

Depending on the location and construction, works may use stainless-steel mesh, wire wool, pest-proof sealants, specialist rodent-proof compounds, cementitious materials, brush strips and other appropriate exclusion products.

12-month workmanship guarantee: Qualifying proofing works can be covered for workmanship, subject to sensible exclusions including new damage, structural movement, inaccessible areas, changes made by third parties and newly developed entry points.

Access and limitations

Some ingress points may sit behind integrated kitchens, appliances, wall linings, flooring, baths or other fixed structures. Where access cannot be achieved without dismantling or separate building work, this will be identified and explained rather than concealed within the scope.
